Dear Farmy customers
Amendments to the Public Health Act on the 31st of March made clear provision for food markets to continue in order to provide the essential role of food distribution to the community.
As such, Farm Gate Market will be open this Sunday, April 05.
We will continue to implement and enforce our strict measures, in addition to some new ones, that ensure the market complies with Government regulations around physical distancing and the 4 square meters per person:
This Sunday you will find:
1. Farm Gate Market site crew at each of the entrances to control numbers – while a maximum of two people per household will be admitted we do ask that you send one only
2. Stalls will continue to be placed 1.5 meters apart on either side of the street, with crosses again on the ground to ensure physical distancing in queues
3. Additional hand washing stations – 1 at each of the 4 entrances and stations across the market – along with our clear and concise signage in relation to compliance. Al customers will be required to wash hands before entering the site, and exiting
4. Stallholders each have their own hand washing stations and have taken extra measures to ensure physical distancing within their marquees and remove all unnecessary contact points
5. Strictly enforcing the ‘you touch it, you buy it’ and ‘shop + go’ policy
