 A Cooking Class with unique flavour!!

Join us for a culinary experience utilising fresh local seasonal produce from Hobart’s own Farm Gate Market.

Our morning begins with a market forage where we source all our fresh seasonal ingredients for our cooking class. There is no set menu, we decide on the day depending what we find fresh on the day! There we will meet with local producers and learn about their wares whilst enjoying the ambience of the market.  Produce in hand we will return to the kitchen to learn how it can best be showcased with some delicious recipe’s from the “Modern Tasmanian” tradition.  To follow we will sit down to a 3 course shared table lunch to enjoy the morning’s creations, paired with wines from the Bottega Rotolo cellar.

We will be running tours once a month or by appointment.

Time:  9.45 am for 10.00 am start till 1.30pm, including lunch.

Meet at: Bottega Rotolo, 141 Bathurst St., Hobart

Price:  $150 pp. includes guided market visit, cooking class, lunch with wine, recipes and apron to take home. Full payment must be made to confirm your place.

The Team: Silvana Taurian of Bottega Rotolo, an experienced chef in many cuisines and co-owner of To the Plate cooking school in Hobart, is joined in the kitchen by Mary McNeill, pastry chef and owner/operator of Gourmania Food Tours Tasmania.
